பத மஸ ர வ ர த ப – On June 18, 2026, the city of Chennai will host a significant ceremony to honor Dr. R. Sridhar, a distinguished recipient of the Padma Shri Award, alongside the official launch of his co-authored book, “Innovations in Indian Public Service Broadcasting.” The event, held at the Drama-1 hall of All India Radio, aims to celebrate the contributions of Sridhar to the field of broadcasting and recognize his impact on shaping public communication in India. Union Minister L. Murugan will attend as a special guest, emphasizing the government’s commitment to acknowledging excellence in media and cultural domains.

Event Details and Keynote Speakers

The ceremony will feature a lineup of notable participants, including Rajeev Kumar Jain, Director of All India Radio, who will oversee the proceedings. Ramapathram Vengatesh, the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Director (Engineering) of the Chennai All India Radio office, will welcome attendees, setting the tone for the event. Following this, the agenda will include speeches from Subho Chankupta, the Digital Media Advisor, and Professor K. G. Suresh, former Director of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).
